Niel Roiter over at Techtarget has a good article up on what has become of ISS as it approaches 2 years under the rule of Big Blue. Of course Mitchell and I had Tom Noonan on just a few weeks ago and as we spoke about, Tom is no longer at IBM/ISS. At the time of the ISS acquistion, speculation was rampant over whether IBM would continue the ISS product line or instead concentrate on the services side of the ISS business, which represented the majority of the revenue actually. When I engage in cardio workouts at my gym, there is nothing I like more than a mindless magazine. (Unless I run. Then I can't consume junk food for the brain because it's too hard to focus on a page while on a treadmill. If I run, I love me some mindless television, like America's Next Top Model or I Love New York.) Austin City Limits 2008 is in the bag. It gave us some good times, a sunburn, and some new discoveries. The final day of the festival brought a lot of favorites that have alluded me for some time. The highlight of the day was Band of Horses who completely owned their audience for an hour. Too bad the Foo Fighters didn’t wait for them to finish their set before launching into their opening number. One of the best new discoveries of the entire festival was Austin native Scott Biram.
